What is it?

Your gift list, budget and shopping log in one.

GiftSprout is a simple app for planning presents. Make an event for each occasion, add the gifts you're thinking about (with the price, a shop link and a photo), and it keeps a running tally of what's planned, what's been bought and how much is left to spend.

When other people are buying too, send them a link. They can pick the gifts they'll get, so nobody buys the same thing twice, and the person the gifts are for never has to see the list.

How it works

Four steps to sorted.

From "what do we get them?" to wrapped and ready. Here's how you use it.

  1. Create an event

    Tap + New event, name it (Mum's 60th, Christmas 2026), add the date and set a budget if you have one.

  2. Add gift ideas

    Hit Add gift for every idea. Paste in the price, a link to the shop, a photo and any notes like size or colour.

  3. Share the list

    Press Share list and copy a link. Send it to family so they can pick a gift, or to a partner so you can plan together.

  4. Tick it off

    Once something's bought, tick it. Log what you actually paid, where from and the order number. The budget updates as you go.

Sharing

One link. Three levels of access.

You decide what each person can do. When you share, pick the access level and the link is copied for you to send however you like.

Picker

Pick gifts only

They open the link, type their name and choose a gift to buy. They don't need an account. Gifts someone has already picked or bought are hidden from them, so nobody doubles up.

Good for grandparents, aunties, uncles and friends

Collaborator

Edit the gifts

They sign in and can add, edit and update gift ideas on the list, which is handy when someone else is doing the research.

Good for a partner or sibling helping out

Joint owner

Run the whole list

Full control alongside you: the event details, the budget, the gifts and sharing. The list belongs to both of you.

Good for co-parents or couples buying together

Keep the secret

You see who picked what (“Picked by Grandma”), so you know what's covered and what still needs buying. Pickers only see what's still available, and the birthday girl never has to see the list at all.
